Come dance and play with me!

The Shaman

What are the images that are conjured up in your mind when you hear that term?  Is it the visual of a dark evening with a fire burning and some crazy costume wearing entity dancing around the flames and making peculiar sounds as the rest of the gathering drums in unison?  How could something like that carry on for the last 100 thousand years?  And yet, there is a semblance of truth to that picture.

We of modern mind have become so sophisticated that to hang onto anything of that sort would be ludicrous…or would it?  While the seeming charade of millennia past may have apparently slipped into the distant reaches of time there is still the essence of this art thriving today.  You may not easily be able to locate a scenario similar to the image painted above but, no less as effective is a capacity to access assistance from beings who have always been just a thought away.

When was the last time you went to your PCP (personal care physician) and were given an immediate powering up or empowerment?  No, I am not referring to turn of the 20th century electrical plug in to get your motor running.  What I would invite you to consider is that there are avenues open to each of us, in the proper context, to receive a powerful helping agent (spirit) that will work with you, directly in your corner, to allow for your realignment to meaningful steps forward.

Once in contact with your helping spirit you are on the way to a potentially different means of travel into your next moment on your way to discovering your new tomorrow.

Unlike the pharmaculture of the modern world, with its myriad of drugs to numb you out to your issues (senses), you will be required to accept some personal responsibility as you make the effort to allow what is your natural healing capacities to resume more of a control function in your life.  By no means am I portraying a process of doing things by yourself, but shamanic technique can teach you to be a member of the team of “you” which is much larger than you ever imagined.

There was a time when I would have said that I am a member in a shamanic community.  While I am constantly on the look out for this illusive place I have studied with Hank Wesselman and Jill Kuykendall, Sandra Ingerman, Christina Pratt, and Michael Stone.  The more unique learning has occurred with my team of spirit helpers.  It appears obvious to me that the shamanic technique is a world wide experience and the community is a loosely bonded archetypal resonance that many share in from all walks of life.  Where there are groups gathering for this, seems to be more around urban zones, and as I am living very rural, this has not been an avenue I can draw on.  Thank goodness for the internet.

Anyone who may have similar constraints in your rural zones might want to check out  .  They have a variety of course material that is pushing the limits of this medium.

Here are some links to follow the shamanic path as I have seen it unfold: ‎ ‎Edit
